TENACITY.

I had an overall weak body devastated by chemo and especially weak knees and back.

Life felt at a standstill. I couldn’t do the thing I used to love. I was an active individual before and the negative  impact felt insurmountable. I had osteoporosis and suffered arthritis in my fingers due to medication.  I couldn’t walk for too long without feeling tired  and out of breath, and felt my knees were going to give way anytime. 

I couldn’t  tell how much I have improved until I realised I could freaking lift almost my own body weight. To top it all, I have no back aches, and I see muscles where previously were batwings. I play tennis and pickleball, practise Pilates and I love strength training! I put on a bit of weight after chemo but now my weight has gone down to pre chemo days and you know what, I don’t care about the scales anymore! I just want to continue getting stronger. My bone density has improved 100% and I no longer have osteoporosis! I have toned up and gone down 2 dress sizes! I love working out and feel good about myself. 

Now, I am healthier, stronger and in the best of health. Happy mind and body means a happy life!

“Sometime at the end of September I found myself at the heaviest I had ever been. The numbers on the scale made my eyes bulge almost as much as my tummy, which had been ballooning on a gassy stream of fried chicken and nasi lemak. The emotions came as followed – disbelief, disgust and then worst of all - indifference. We all get old and fat eventually, right? Nothing wrong with getting a head start.

I have been training with Shaun for over 3 years. Our range of training over the years has spanned from Pilates on the reformer to “Brodude” weightlifting, which speaks to his versatility as a trainer. However, he is truly effective when you have a goal in mind. Basically, it takes two to mango, and this became abundantly clear to me after my pickleball fever started. 

Shaun excels in listening to your motivations for training and takes the time to craft specific exercises to help you achieve your goals.
